Don’t think you’re going to just read this, get a few useful tips, and then move on with your life. This can transform your writing from here on out.

If you take notes and do the exercises Henneke suggests, you will end up with a concise ‘playbook’ for how to:

    – Pinpoint who you are writing for & give them what they want (and need)
    – Come up with interesting & share-able blog posts
    – Write a post that will suck readers in & keep their attention
    – Edit a post for maximum effectiveness

If you’re serious about increasing your reach, impact, & profits through your blog – – I can’t think of a better place to start than ‘Blog To Win Business’.

Henneke Duistermaat is a powerhouse woman and creative marketer and copywriter who is convinced that we are not taking blogging seriously when it comes to using it as a business tool. She has worked for Philips Electronics and Saint-Gobain and now runs her own company Enchanting Marketing.

In her introductory remarks she states, `The web is full of bland content. Yawn-inducing blog posts that keep rambling on. Stock photography soooo unbelievably boring that you prefer the relaxing nothingness of white space. How can you create a business blog that enchants your readers and wins customers? How can you make your readers crave your next blog post? And how do you turn these readers into customers for your products or services? That’s what this book is about. A business blog can: Raise awareness of your company Increase web traffic Start a “conversation” with prospects Develop your authority Get readers to trust your advice Build relationships as readers get to know and like you.’ And form this stance she has us off and running , learning how to create blogs that position us in the industry in which we compete, the skills of composing good headlines that entice people to read your posts, to create a natural flow to hypnotize your readers, to make a blog more engaging by describing the ideal reader, to generate an endless stream of ideas for blog posts your customers crave to read – or in other words, to make your blogs irresistible! `This guide helps you to plan, write, and edit your blog posts. It helps you to engage readers, build trust and authority, and to win clients.’

But no one for overlooking the possible problems that many arise, Henneke addresses the 5 mistakes you must avoid when defining your blog purpose, offers a complete editing checklist to make your blog posts more conversational, and other pertinent and very important stumbling blocks to avoid and tips for success. This is a very worth investment for marketers of every kind and at every level. Grady Harp, March 14

    I admit it.

My decisions to invest in Copyblogger’s Authority as well as Jon Morrow’s Guest Blogging Apprenticeship is a direct result of having witnessed Henneke’s blogging moves over the past year and a half.

Don’t get me wrong. I was long acquainted with the voices of Brian Clark, Sonia Simone, Jon Morrow, et al before I had become entranced by Henneke’s story. But these titans of content marketing and copywriting had been fully fledged by the time I had caught up with them.

Henneke was just stretching her wings. Oh, she had plenty of talent and chutzpah from the get-go as well as the aforementioned superstar mentors. But I’ve been watching her go from incredibly good to enchantingly great in such a short period of time, I just had to learn her secret sauce.

“Blog To Win Business” is THAT recipe. No fat. No fluff. Just tasty morsel after tasty bite. A quick enough read and yet something that begs for a reread.

Her philosophy does not stray from her Copyblogger roots. Her humor and voice are uniquely her own. The extra bonus is the delightfully fresh and colorful illustrations she has penned and inked for each chapter introduction.

This book is packed with bonus materials and hot-links to valuable posts.

Do yourself, your blog, and your business the service of buying this book. But I would urge you further, to read and take action on the advice and counsel Henneke so entertainingly provides.
